Why ordinary tap water might not be safe for you

The debate between tap water and bottled water has been going on for many years now. Which one is the safest: Ordinary tap water or bottled water? This article provides insightful information on both these types of water after which you can decide for yourself which one is the safest, and whether you are going to equip your home with a water purifier and/or water dispenser. The choice is rightfully yours.

Debate Number One for tap water

The Bottled Water industry was introduced to the market approximately 30 years ago and ever since its introduction consumers have considered it to be the better and safer option of the two. Since that time bottled water sales has gown up annually by 15% but is not as strictly regulated as tap water which is regulated by government and municipalities. Because tap water is more heavily regulated than bottled water it proves to be the better case.

Debate Number Two for bottled water

Bottled water is much more convenient than tap water as you can take it with you anytime, anywhere and you don’t have to use a glass either.

Debate Number Three for tap water

Bottled water is very expensive compared to tap water. Bottling at most places costs more than a gallon gas. Using a water filter or water purifier will cost less annually than the cheapest brand of bottled water you purchase in a year. As already mentioned tap water is regulated more than bottled water so why pay more for bottled water?

Debate Number Four for bottled water

In case of an emergency such as a natural disaster or national shortage, tap water may not be available in which case bottled water could be a real lifesaver. Having bottled water on-hand is not a bad idea as long as they don’t stand for a long period of time – unused. The chemicals in the bottles could get released into the water.

Debate Number Five for tap water

Bottled water is a generator for bacterial pollution. Once the bottle has been opened bacteria can get into the bottle especially when drinking straight from the bottle. Also when left in the sun or heated, chemicals of the bottle can end up in your water. Over the long term this could cause diseases or cancer.

Debate Number Six for tap water

If you are into conservation tap water is most certainly the best water in this debate. Bottled water has to be held accountable for the tremendous amount of plastic manufactured each year causing all sorts of problems.

Result: The overall winner between tap water vs. bottled water is a Water Filter! Fresh office and home water is essential to protect your health and those living and working with you.A water filter will get rid of lead, chlorine, pharmaceuticals and cysts (chlorine resistant parasites) and leaves in their place natural minerals that are safe for your health.
