How can I make my water safe?

Because you cannot be sure if your tap water is safe, you may wish to avoid tap water. Filtering your water will provide you with better tasting and better smelling drinking water resulting in a source of healthy clean water that costs you less then bottled water.

What is the difference between tap water and filtered water?

The main problem with tap water is the chlorine, lead, cysts, pesticides, cryptosporidium, giardia and other contaminants that travel into it. Filtered water removes the impurities from you tap water giving you pure clean fresh drinking water.

What is the difference between bottled water and filtered water?

The potential problem with plastic bottles is that they transfer too many chemicals into the water. The plastic bottles are also not considered environmentally friendly. Bottled water costs you endless amounts of money, with filtered water however you get unlimited filtered water at a lower cost.

Is there any maintenance involved in my water filter and how often is maintenance required?

Yes, maintenance is required. We recommend that you service the water filter every 12 months to retain effectiveness over time ensuring that the quality of your filtered water remains clean and pure.

What is involved in a Service?

Flushing and sterilizing the filter and replacing your old cartridges with new ones. Takes less then 20 minutes for a service / maintenance.

Is there any cost involved in servicing my water filter?

Yes there is a standard call-out and labour charge plus you will be required to pay for the replacement cartridges.

What if I don’t service my water filter on time?

Not servicing your water filter on time allows risks such as leaking to occur. The system can clog up with impurities and bacteria that cannot be seen.

Please contact our friendly customer service staff to organise your filter service if it has been 12 months or more since your purchase or the last service.

It’s been 12 months but I cannot taste any difference in the filtered water quality, can I delay my service?

Although you may not be able to taste the change in your water after 12 months, you are however taking a risk in drinking water that can result in worse, not better quality water. Please contact our friendly customer service staff to organise your filter service if it has been 12 months or more since your purchase or the last service.

What happens when I move?

We can uninstall your water filter and reinstall at your new home when you are ready to move, contact our customer service to organise for a reinstall.

I’m renting but my landlord won’t allow me to install a water filter, how can I still have the benefit of a water filter?

A portable countertop filter is great if you are renting. There is no installation required, you can simply pick up the system and take it with you when moving.

How long will it take to install a water filter?

Installation usually takes between 30 and 40 minutes.

What is a faucet?

A faucet is a tap from which your filtered water is drawn simply by pressing the lever on the faucet.

What is a pressure reducing valve?

A PRV controls the level of water pressure if the water pressure is high. A PRV is required if you are installing a water filter and your water pressure is high.

I cannot afford a water filter but would like to have one - how can I still take benefit of filtered water?
